our Story

Wobbly Boot is a different kind of vineyard. We are a small, family-owned vineyard on a mission to produce high quality low intervention wines using organics, regenerative farming and wildlife conservation.

We believe that our nature-first process is better for the health of our waterways, soil, community and Mother Earth. Our focus is upon quality over quantity and our small production wines are released only to our members and direct to consumers. Our wines contain no harmful and unnatural additives. You will see, taste, and feel the difference.

We bought the property in 2014. The property and vineyard had been degraded due to the use of chemicals and sheep grazing. There was little wildlife due to hunting. We were new to growing grapes but quickly became disillusioned with what was happening in the wine industry. We discovered that vines were been flooded with synthetic fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides in order to increase yield. Wildlife was culled to protect grapes. Retailers were not interested in our higher quality organically grown wines but only getting the cheapest products available. These negative experiences gave us the impetus to develop Wobbly Boot as a vineyard that was different from any other. We decided to rewild the property and prioritise the values of organic farming, our community and the environment.
